Headache Prevention…Migraines Without Pain

Last week My wife and I were to travel to a conference. My parents came up to stay with our son. He came home from school and reported a loss of perpheral vision for 40 minutes. This didn't sound too good.

My wife who is a doctor organized a scan for him and canceled her flight.Nothing showed up on the cat scan, all the blood vessels had returned to normal. This was a huge relief.

If you ever experience this kind of symptom please have it investigated.

As it turned out it was most likely a rare form of migraine which causes visual disturbances with mild pain and nausea. However the symptoms are similar to a brain bleed.

Also years ago a friend of mine had a loss of his perpherial vision, within hours he was diagnosed with leukemia and died 2 weeks later. Its best to be safe than sorry.

What Is Your Definite Chief Aim

I recently attended the web business academy 3 day bootcamp. One of the highlights was Jennie Armato's presentation on Napoleon hills the law of success. Law 2 states that in order to succeed we need to have a definite chief aim.

for some it may be flash cars and big houses or a certain amount of money. It doesn't matter what drives you as long as you a clear about your goal.this includes knowing exactly you want to achieve in your business or job.

This clarity once gained allows you to map out a path to achieve your definite chief aim, it also makes it easier to know which things will take you closer and which things are just distractions.

Stress induced headaches

Stress induced headaches

When you have a headache all you want is a solution. Please give me some relief

How your headaches start will to a large extent determine how you treat them, or more importantly how you prevent them.

I guess the easy solution is to follow the advertising advice and reach for pain killer X for rapid relief. Stress induced headachesThis is of course a valid sort term solution, but it doesn’t address the cause and therefore doesn’t provide any measure of prevention.

In this article we will look at stress induced headaches & muscular tension.

Stress induced tension require a number steps. You may elect for a neck adjustment or massage, but the source of the stress still remains and the build up of tension will begin again the moment the stressful thought or situation presents itself again.

If you can solve the stress that’s great, but quite often we can’t influence circumstances. The good news is that the power to release the stress lies within you.

Firstly stop and begin to breathe deeply. Slow long breaths right down to your stomach. Sit in a comfortable position, close your eyes and listen to your breath.

If the stressful thoughts invade then either allow a word like calm, relaxed peaceful happy to float through your mind, or visualize your favorite/happy memory. Just stay with this for a few minutes.

Find a place to do this in your busy day, in your car, preferably when it is parked! go to the bathroom, anywhere where you can grab a few moments to breathe and relax.

You can do this in a public place, just focus into your coffee, or a shop window, defocus your eyes and breathe and relax.

I cannot overstate how important this simple method is to reduce stress and therefore tension headaches.

Renovate To Sell…More Budget Tips

Remember the simply things can sell your home.

1. Kitchen

Put away all clutter, you need clear open bench tops. Create a feeling that even if the room is small, that there is plenty of room for storage and cooking. Fresh flowers when buyers are coming through can create a light feeling. Some say brew some coffee or bake fresh bread, maybe but at least do the flowers.

2. Linen closets

De clutter any storage areas, you don’t want your buyers to think that they will have to jamb their belongings into this house.

3.. Book shelves

If they are overflowing then remove some and place a few ornamental items in as well as the books. This creates a feeling of order.

4. Laundry

Many laundries are in poor shape. Rusty tubs, grimy floor, cluttered cupboards. This is one area I notice that often lets the rest of the house down.

What we are trying to achieve on a very low budget, is a feeling of comfort when buyers enter your home. Does it feel welcoming, is there a cool breeze on a warm day. If you are expecting an inspection at 2pm on a hot day, then block off all your sun facing windows with blankets, to retain the cool feeling. Of course you remove them before the buyers come.

If the weather is cold then have the heating running. If you don’t have central heating, then perhaps you could have some electric heaters running before the inspection so that the buyers don’t notice extremes of temperature from one part of the house to another.

Blogs Reflect Life

I'm posting a few blogs and articles on home renovation with a view to improving your house value when you sell. We are currently involved in this exact process and I have been writing articles as I do the jobs.

Of course you don't need to be selling to improve your home. Just for the pleasure is good enough, or to have the property revalued by the bank so that you can use the increased equity to purchase more real estate or pay down debt which is at a higher interest rate than your home loan.

Selling your home…Increase Your saleability With Some simple Interventions

Many people wishing to sell their homes don’t have the budget or the skills to do renovations, but there is still much you can do with only a small budget.

For this article I’m assuming you have a smaller home. You need or want to sell it, you want it to move quickly and you want the best possible price.

1.       Bathrooms.

Remove all extra bathroom stuff. Ensure your basin is clear and clean. Make sure your shower screen is perfectly clean. If you floor tiles are old and the glaze is not too good, then clean the tiles with paint thinners. You may be surprised just how good your tiles will look.

Place a tidy floor mat down with colours to match you neatly folded towels, if possible.

2.       Living rooms

A small living room needs all the help it can get. Ensure your windows are cleaned and the blinds or curtains are open, unless you wish to disguise some view out of the window.

If you have too many chairs remove one or two so that the space opens up. If you have a timber or a tile floor remove any floor rugs. While you may enjoy them, they will make the space look smaller.

Remove excess personal nic nacs and photographs. And if you have too many paintings or wall hangings, trim back on the numbers and open the space.

3. Coridor-hallway

If you hallway is a bit dark, consider a mirror to brighten and reflect some light.

Feng Shui…Home Improvents To Increase Value

These few simple tips will make a big difference to how prospective buyers perceive your house.

1.       Create an enticing outdoor room that feels as if it flows from the house.

2.       Ensure the kitchen is bright and airy, remove old curtains. Keep the gadgets out of site. Keep flat areas open and clean. The kitchen has to create a feeling that the main cook will be happy to create tasty loving meals.

3.       Remove excess chairs from living and dining rooms.

4.       Use plants to improve the air and create a pleasing energy. Plants absorb carbon dioxide. Ensure the plants are healthy, remove any dead spots. If you are a regular renovator you can use the same plants over and over.

5.       Invite some friends over, ask them if your house feels welcoming, ask them to be honest about how they feel. Be prepared to not be insulted and to learn from their intuitive. The reality is that some people have better taste than others. It is best to ask people whose homes you feel good in.

6.       Examine noise pollution. Dose sound transfer too easily through the house, door the floor coverings create too much sound transmission. The best thing I build into our houses is a door that separates the living and sleeping areas. Usually sound travels too easily down a corridor.

7.       Bathrooms need to be clean and bright. Many 70’s style homes have gaudy tiles.

8.       If the toilet suite is old and stained, replacing it could be the best money you spend.

Feng Shui House Renovation Can Get Your A Higher Price.

When you walk through a house, you tend to make a very quick assessment as to whether the house has a good feel about it or not. Without knowing you are being influenced by good or bad Feng Shui. You can use these ancient principals to sell your home faster and for a bigger profit.

1.      1. Use neutral relaxing colours. Feature wall look good but they can create a negative response in some buyers. If your home is older and has patterned wallpaper, remove and paint.

2.      2.  Same rule for carpets, if you intend to change carpets use the neutrals as they look more classy and they give a sense of spaciousness.

3.      3.  Remove clutter and excess personal memorabilia.

4.       Ensure a flow of fresh air into the rooms. Clean blinds and fans.

5.       Remove loud coloured ornaments or artworks. One home I inspected had a big painting of a dragon near the front door. Now I like dragons as much as the next person but the feeling was not welcoming!

6.       When a prospective looks out of the windows what do they see? Most people treat the garden to ensure it looks good from outside of the property, not from within looking out.

Try to get as many of these herbs in one formula and take them at least an hour before bed and again during the night if necessary.

 Relaxing functional foods.

A warm milk drink before bed provides a natural amino acid which is calming. As you milk heats add cinnamon, nutmeg and a teaspoon and honey.

How does your bladder function? If a full bladder is guaranteed to awake you then the above milk drink and any fluids save for some sips of water should be avoided for 3 hours before bed. You can make up for your fluid intake early in the day and you could have the milk drink 3 hours before bed.

If pain wakes you, then work out what time typically you will be disturbed and take your pain killers at an appropriate time. E.g. I periodically have back pain that can keep me awake for hours in the early morning. If I take a pain killer at 2am I then sleep well until 5am. If I try to put up with the pain I am likely to wake many times before 5am.
